THE PARTNERS OF THE INITIATIVE

BeReady2Fly is conceived and promoted by

Università Bocconi is one of the leading European universities in the disciplines of economics, management, legal studies and political science. Founded in Milan in 1902 by a visionary entrepreneur, Ferdinando Bocconi, Università
Bocconi was born as a startup and was the first Italian university to release a degree in business economics. Independence, scientific rigor and innovation have always supported the University’s mission in extending the
frontiers of knowledge and contributing to the improvement of society. Thanks to a global network of 100,000 alumni, strongly rooted in the international financial community; coding courses for all students; a research center (BIDSA) and degree courses in data science and business analytics; and many more initiatives aimed at promoting entrepreneurship (Speed Mi Up, Bocconi #Startupday), Università Bocconi represents a primary entrepreneurial hub in the digital field.

Politecnico di Milano is a scientific-technological university that trains engineers, architects and designers. It has always focused on innovation in teaching and research fields, contributing to the development of the country’s economic and productive system. Through its Technology Transfer Office (TTO), the university unit specialized on Intellectual Property, Politecnico supports teachers, researchers and students in transferring technical and scientific knowledge from the laboratory to the industrial and business field. The TTO staff, characterized by a wide diversification of profiles (from engineering to architecture and industrial design) and by the integration of managerial and legal skills, offers high-quality services aimed at maximizing opportunities for commercial exploitation of academic results and the creation of business innovation.

Speed MI Up is the business incubator of Università Bocconi and Camera di Commercio di Milano, Monza Brianza Lodi, supported by Comune di Milano. It is specialized in the development of business and management skills in order to accelerate the growth of innovative (not necessarily from a technological point of view), solid and potentially international companies. It is accessible via call. Unlike other incubators, Speed MI Up does not enter in the equity of  companies, preserving their value and freedom of the entrepreneurial project. It offers two years of services including training and continuous tutorship by Bocconi professors, high-quality technical service, networking sessions with investors and knowledge sharing events in the headquarters located in Via Ulisse Gobbi and Via Achille Papa, in Milan. In the first five years of activity, Speed MI Up has incubated 81 startups and received over 1500 business ideas that have been turned in 500 business plans.

PoliHub is the Innovation District & Startup Accelerator of Politecnico di Milano, managed by Fondazione Politecnico di Milano. PoliHub’s mission is to support highly innovative startups with scalable business models and to push cross-fertilization processes between the University, the startups and consolidated companies that are committed to innovation. To accomplish this goal, PoliHub operates through the exchange of experiences, sharing of knowledge and cross-fertilization between the entrepreneurs. The enormous wealth of knowledge of Politecnico di Milano and its centers of excellence, MIP, Poli.Design and Cefriel, aim at collaborating with companies.
Founded in 2000, PoliHub has been awarded as third university incubator in the world, from the 2017-2018 UBI Index ranking.
